JOB LOCATION: |
Mountain Coal Company - West Elk Mine |
|
|
OVERALL JOB PURPOSE: Maintenance and repair of equipment used for coal handing.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of underground utility, longwall, and/or continuous mining machines.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED; may consider equivalent experience
- Underground MSHA safety training
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively complete job duties with minimal supervision
- Ability to think clearly and demonstrate mechanical aptitude and prioritization skills
- Previous underground coal mine maintenance experience preferred
- Maintains main line and section belt systems, performs regulatory compliance in belt entries, belt installations, and other infrastructure systems
- Environmental compliance experience
- MSHA Electrical Card (low, medium, high voltage-surface) preferred
