Surveyor
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Responsible for maintaining section development on the correct orientation. This includes setting sights for section advancement with minimal downtime to production, as well as, completing profiles for construction, control traversing and projecting future advancement
- Responsible for surveying both underground and surface monitoring points and completing the supporting calculations, mapping and records
- Monitor land movement, as built surveys, stockpile calculations, topographic surveys, locating exploration holes, aerial surveys and GPS
- Design, revise and complete a variety of AutoCAD drawings and reports as needed. Communicate findings with Engineering and other departments.
- Adopt and follow the Mountain Coal Company Safety philosophy of achieving an injury-free workplace
- Actively support and promote the Warriors Safety program
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Efficient at math for calculating survey data and traversing
- Knowledgeable or be willing to learn drafting techniques and AutoCAD skills
- Knowledgeable or be willing to learn survey equipment, survey methods and calculations
- Effective writing skills
- Record of good work attendance and punctuality
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED
- Methane Gas Card
