JOB LOCATION:

Mountain Coal Company - West Elk Mine



OVERALL JOB PURPOSE: Operation and maintenance of all aspects of coal handing and Preparation Plant facilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs maintenance of surface coal handing equipment to include mobile equipment and conveyor systems, unit train loading systems, pump stations, compressor stations and coal preparation plant. Performs surface electrical troubleshooting to include operation of train loadout and coal preparation plant operations.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED; may consider equivalent experience
  • Surface MSHA safety training
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively complete job duties with minimal supervision
  • Extensive mobile heavy equipment operating experience
  • Coal blending and quality experience
  • 2 plus years of surface coal handling experience
  • MSHA Electrical Card (low, medium, high voltage-surface) preferred
  • Previous coal processing and PLC experience
  • Previous maintenance experience
  • Environmental compliance experience
  • Train Load out experience
  • Valid Class R Driver's License required, Commercial Driver's License preferred
